This past month, I discovered Beauty Box 5. The program delivers five new beauty products to your mailbox each month. I think it's such a fun way to test out new brands on the cheap - a subscription is only $12 a month. This is my first experience with Beauty Box 5, but I loved opening up my package this month. Here's a quick look at the products I got in my box:

NYX Cosmetics Eyeshadow Palette. I really loved the natural tones of this palette. My make-up collections airs on the side of neutral, earthy tones anyway. The range of colors makes it easy to create a simple smoky eye for a day on campus or at the office. I paired it with a black liner and a few coats of mascara for an easy look.

Body Drench Moisturizing Lotion. I have mixed feeling about this lotion. It did a great job of keeping my skin soft for the morning after I put it on. Unfortunately, I wasn't a fan of the smell.

Ofra Cosmetics Sultry Lipgloss Plumper. When I noticed the tube was labeled as "lip gloss," I immediately was skeptical. Most lip gloss turns out to be a mess; I smear it everywhere and end up with my hair stuck to my lips. But this is the color and plumper without the stickiness. Definitely a pleasant surprise! I love also the rich burgundy color - perfect shade for the holidays.

Clean & Clear Morning Burst Hydrating Gel. I already trust and like the Clean & Clear brand. But I had yet to try the hydrating gel moisturizer. It's a great alternative to just using lotion and creates a great foundation for applying make-up. Plus, the stuff smells great. I'll definitely be purchasing a full-size bottle of it soon.

Every Beauty Flexible Foot Smoother. Truth be told, this is the only product from my box that I didn't touch. I don't remember the last time I actually anything like this. It just isn't part of my regular beauty routine.

Even though it was my first time unboxing a Beauty Box 5 package, it's fun to get a box full of goodies each month. I absolutely loved trying out the lip gloss, eyeshadow and Clean & Clear hydrating gel. Have you ever tried one of these brands? Share your own experiences in a comment!
