Must-Have Apps for Post-Grad Life

Whether you're are an iPhone user or an Android fan, today's technology can help make post-grad life a little less scary. I use my phone on the daily to check emails, update my calendar and track my to-do list. But handheld devices can also be useful tools in any big girl endeavor, from the job search to managing finances. Here are three apps to download to your smartphone or tablet right now:

LinkedIn

In the post-grad job search, LinkedIn will quickly become your favorite social media platform. And if not your favorite, then at least a commonly used one. The LinkedIn app let's you network and job hunt on the go. You can browse and connect with new contacts; share relevant news and updates; and find the most current job postings. It's a great tool to stay connected with your professional network.

Google Drive

You might already be familiar with online storage services. Google Drive, Skydrive and DropBox all offer similar services - so pick one and go with it. I use Google Drive for both work and personal life. The mobile app offers easy access to my documents. I can even update them on the go, whether it's adding a new post idea to my blog editorial calendar or double checking a spreadsheet for work.

Mint

Disclaimer - I've never actually used Mint before. But my friends claim it's the best app out there for managing your personal finances. You connect the app (securely) to your bank account and Mint does the rest. It tracks each purchase and shows you how much you've spent on food, gas, utilities, etc. throughout the month. You can also set personal budgets and track your spending in each area.

And I'd love to hear from you! What apps or programs are on your must-have list?
