Our Wedding Invitations

I hope you can forgive my long absence, lovelies. I was busy wedding planning, getting hitched, honeymooning, and moving into and unpacking our new home. Life is now returning to normal and I am excited to get back to sharing all things style related with you. But first, a few more wedding related posts. Because it’s style related, after all. I promise to keep it short and sweet—I just had to share with you what gorgeous invitations my groom designed for us.

The top card in the envelope had stunning rose gold foil on it – I love rose gold everything. The background was one of our engagement photos with the palest pink washing over it.

The details for the reception were printed on another card, this one charcoal gray. I was going for stylish and sophisticated but with a fun, playful, Kate Spade-esque feel to it. Hence, the ‘cue the confetti’ and the ‘tearing it up on the dance floor’. To see the amazing site he designed to go with the invites, visit ashleyandtravis.com – the interactive map on the site is one of my favorite features.

The RSVP cards with a grayish taupe color and again, played with those cheeky Kate Spade inspirations. My favorite part of the entire invitation suite may have been the phrase in parentheses under “regretfully declines”—”and will forever regret the descision”.

Finally, on the reverse of the RSVP card, we added a silly and fun element where guests could check off what they were most excited about. The space left blank for them to fill in was so much fun to read when we started getting the cards back. People came up with both hilarious and heartfelt write-ins. This may have been one of my favorite things we did for the weddings and I will keep them forever, they are such a great memento.

xoxo
