TJC: Inspiration ~ What Does It All Mean?

by: Neki Bosh

2013 was a year of new beginnings for me. I embarked on some incredible journeys, of which none I regret. I moved from my native Dallas, Texas to the infamous ATL (Atlanta, GA). What made me move? I’m glad you asked. Love. I moved to Atlanta in the name of love. Six months into my move I began to realize my relationship was not all I thought it was, and soon love wasn’t enough to keep us together. While my relationship was diminishing, I had begun an incredible project that is now known as Pink Candy Couture. If you haven’t heard, Pink Candy Couture is a premier boutique for girls ages 4 and up. The store offers everything from fabulous clothes and accessories to the most phenomenal karaoke night (Little Ladies Night Out) for girls in the country! Pink Candy Couture is the second most incredible thing I’ve accomplished in my entire professional life. It is not only a girl’s dream, it is my dream come true.

One week before PCC’s beginning, my love ended. It was too late for me to run home, so I decided to stay and literally work out my pain. I was filled with emotions of embarrassment, failure and I felt more alone than I had ever felt in life. But, I refused to go home empty. I prayed and I worked. Then, I prayed more and I worked harder. Every time I considered giving up, I went to the store and let the pink and purple ambiance empower me. The more I worked, the better I felt, and before I knew it, I was in love yet again. This time I was in love with my purpose and my power. I was in love with the smiles that I was bringing to hundreds of little girl’s (and their mothers) faces. I felt like a new age wonder woman. I was walking in another part of my purpose and it trumped everything I thought I had lost.

As I move into 2014, I am completely excited about the blessings that are attached to the next 357 days. Life is not perfect, and I understand that better than anyone, but it is filled with possibilities if you are living your purpose. I expect God to do AMAZING things with They’re Just Clothes, Pink Candy Couture and projects that will be released later this year! I would like to personally thank each of you for recognizing and embracing the amazing talent of Danny Vicious! He is an incredible fashion designer, writer and a beautiful person. Thank you for embracing the talent of Paulette Cooper. She is an amazing beauty editor and she is extremely passionate about the health of women and men alike.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT! You make it all worth it for us! What does it all mean? Everything…good and bad…works out for our good! Blessings to you and yours in this brand new year!
