Where me meets vest

Jumpsuit: Zara (old, similar here ) | Vest: Thrifted | Bag: Michael Kors (similar here) | Shoes: DonebyNone Earrings: Silverline | Necklace: Thrifted
It's a strange city this... Delhi.

On the one hand, we have malls that are full of rows and isles full of beautiful clothes that beckon - sleeveless tops, plunging necklines, strapless dresses, and hot hot hot pants!

Then on the other hand, there's life outside the malls - Autowallahs, bus conductors, passersby on the street, and even the neighbourhood aunty (she's wise in her ways I tell you) who you'll meet when you're running out for a coffee date - with all these people who will sneer, snigger at you if you're found in the afore mentioned clothes.

So what does a girl do? Well, this is where our saviour for the day comes in. A vest/ waistcoat is not a mere tool for layering with your white shirt at formal meetings, and it's role in adequately helping to camouflage unwanted bulges, and slimming your silhouette are all well documented on the interwebs.

But the most use I get out of it, is when there is a spaghetti strap, or a tube top (like this jumpsuit here), or sheer blouse that needs to be hidden from the eyes of the beholders of the real world outside the shiny, glossy windows of the malls.

Enough said, enjoy the outfit...

What do you say about using vests as a cover-up in the summer? What else do you usually use? Let me know in the comments section.
