Moody Monday :: Pass me the knife pleats

As the temperatures start soaring, we crave to get out of our jeans and into some breezy skirts. Well, I say before you decide to step out and challenge the heat, say hello to knife pleats, if you haven't already.

While you may have seen a lot of these razor sharp pleats last year as well, this year's version is a tad different. It's longer - ending just at or below the knees - and is much flouncier, to add that extra twirl into your... well... 'twirl'. Now these can look kind of proper-proper, and so I've rounded up a couple of ideas to make you look cool and fun, yet in a put-together kind of way, all on my pinterest boards.

Enjoy this season's simplest trend, by pairing this gorgeous skirt with a low-key t-shirt, all tucked in, and belted up. Take a cue from how the gorgeous Aayushi of Styldrv wore her skirt, or how I wore mine last year.
