I’m all for maternity clothes — and finding perfect maternity clothes that aren’t marketed as such! This dress is one of those perfect with or without the bump pieces of clothing.

What are the most important things I look for when purchasing an item to wear as maternity?

• Empire waist, so it hits above the bump.
• Stretchy in the right places — this dress is a beautiful, thick jersey fabric.
