Can you tell that I loved Balenciaga SS13 but I couldn’t afford it so I’m just now recreating it? I get asked what my favourite designer brand is all the time and it’s a question that I’ve always struggled to answer. I just realised though that the answer is simple: Balenciaga!

From going ages back to look at Cristobal Balenciaga’s work or Ghesquière’s work over the last years and even the present day Walenciaga (Alexander Wang’s Balenciaga which I really didn’t expect to like very much), I love it, everything about it. It always is the perfect balance of feminine and masculine. This particular collection I loved because Ghesquière cut some crazy good shapes.

The great thing though is that where your own pocket fails you; I mean, how many people can really afford to buy these clothes? You know that Zara and ASOS will one day come to your rescue with Balenciaga inspired options. Even if it is much later.
