Everyone knows that Céline and Louis Vuitton made the Ghana Must Go pattern cool in the eyes of the wider world but for many of us who grew up in various parts of Africa, it will never be much more to us than what it is and certainly wouldn’t be worth an investment. I love this take on the trend by Topshop- the fact that it’s burgundy and not the ubiquitous red or blue really appeals to me.

It was surprisingly warm in London on the weekend but temperatures have really dropped now. I’m not as nervous about the winter as I was- gotta embrace the better things about it. One thing that’s better about winter fashion is that when you nail it, you really really nail it. It requires a lot more thought and understanding of clothing textures and structure. You can’t let your abs or bare legs do the talking so you really have to get creative. That has always scared me a little. But I’m now just embracing the challenge and really enjoying it!

P.S did you guys see my post about Adé Fashion? For all my Africans in the UK and US, are there any African designers you would like to be able to shop more easily?
