THE BARE NECESSITIES.

If you haven’t heard the word ‘Normcore’ yet, then you don’t spend too much time around people who throw around fashion terminology and that’s totally okay. It basically means stripping back to the basics. You know- a neutral cropped sweater, a black leather skirt, a pair of black pointy pumps. No gimmicks. I wouldn’t use it in everyday speech though. You earn serious douche-bag points for throwing around such terminology in everyday language.

There are some autumnal basics that every closet should have and that includes things like a black pencil skirt whether in leather, scuba, wool or whatever material keeps you warm. A cropped cashmere jumper is great too but failing to splurge on cashmere, this one from topshop is lovely.

I know my ‘normcore’ is probably not very ‘normcore’ because for me, it also includes things like suede thigh high boots- in black, and in grey. And a leather waist-belt to cinch in all the oversized pieces that we’ll be rocking this winter- black is great, leopard print is fabulous too.
