Radical Skincare Exfoliating Pads

I am usually a bit rubbish at remembering to exfoliate. I always have a face scrub/exfoliator in the house but rarely seem to get around to using it! Radical Skincare Age Defying Exfoliating Pads are single use pads so they are really easy to use. You don’t need to spend ages rinsing your face after applying as they don’t have the little particles you get with most exfoliators. This is the first time ever that I have actually stuck to using an exfoliator!

On first glance, the pads seem really gentle – they are soft with none of the face scrub particles you usually get. The pads leave a bit of a residue but that sinks in pretty quickly and seems quite moisturising. It is recommended that you use one pad every night after cleansing. The first few times I used them, my face felt lovely and smooth in the morning and I definitely noticed that the pores on my cheeks looked smaller. However, after using the pads for around 5 days, they started to sting when I applied them. I kept going for a couple of days as it wasn’t painful and I thought that maybe it was just the pads doing their job properly. But the stinging got worse and I noticed that I was getting red patches and itchiness. I decided to stop and the itchiness took a few days to go away. I have started using the pads just once a week instead which seems to work much better for me. I don’t have particularly sensitive skin so I am not sure why I have this reaction to the pads. I do like them now that I am not using them as regularly but I am not sure if I would buy them again as every time I use them I am a little worried that the stinging and itchiness might come back.
