5 Minute Kitchen Stool Makeover

I love quick and easy projects that give you a lot of bang for your buck, or in this case, your free sample of paint. Every now and then I get these coupons from Lowes for a free sample of their Valspar paint but I had yet to use my latest sample, Sweet Mint.

So after looking around my house at where I could use this sweet sample I landed on our two wooden stools. One lives in our kitchen and the other in a corner of our guest bedroom. The stools were originally a roadside find my mother picked up last year and they've been great for extra seating in a pinch. Admittedly though, they were kinda blah.

So I brought them outside with my sample paint and a mini craft roller and in 5 minutes flat I gave them a light sand and the edges a little pick me up.

Now the one in my kitchen adds just a subtle hint of mint that makes me smile.

The one in the guest room is sitting pretty as well.

Gotta love a free 5 minute makeover like that!
