Take Me To Palm Springs

I need a vacation! Is anyone else ready for refreshing cocktails, fun in the sun, and bikini weather? Raise your hands. With Memorial Day just around the corner, the unofficial start of summer is nearly upon us. Since the sun has been shining oh so bright in So-Cal, we've been doing a little summer pre-gaming. A few weekends ago, I tagged along with Taye Hansberry as we escaped LA to relax in the desert for Kelly Golightly's Flamingo Fiesta. Poolside of course, because you always find flamingoes looking pretty by the water. I slathered on equal parts bronzer and equal parts sunscreen, since I didn't want to look pale and I definitely didn't want to get a sunburn. Don't you know, freckled people are super sensitive to UV rays. Totally didn't have time to snatch up a new suit, so I threw on fave Jungle Gurl string bikini and hit the road.

When Taye and I arrived at Kelly's house, we were both in awe of how cute it was. Mrs. Golightly's been featured in countless magazines and blogs for her personal style, so of course her home-away-from-home is going to look just as posh. Since we'd been driving for almost two hours, we had food on the brain. Good thing we walked in to see this deliciously fresh spread. Isn't this such a cute idea for a party. Say goodbye to those boring fruit and veggie trays. There was also a tower of macarons and then tacos outside. Of course I was busy stuffing my face for the bulk of the festivities.

There's the hostess-with-the-mostest Kelly looking fantastic while she sips on her Skinny Girl cocktail. Even though it was like 100 degrees out, she still looks cool as a cucumber. Could it be the big sun hat? The chic glasses? The fringe one piece? For Kelly, looking fabulous just comes naturally.

Besides Kelly, Taye and I were definitely in good company. This party brought out some of LA's finest bloggers. Here's two of my fave. That's Rachael of Everything Hauler and Kristen of Style Wax Poetic wearing L*Space bikinis. Who knew these girls had such great bodies! Seriously, ladies. Y'all are a double scoop of hotness! Ok, but back to the swimwear...

Since so many of the girls were wearing suits by L*Space, I definitely fell in love with the entire line. I have to get one like ASAP. Just check out the back detail on this suit. From the front, it's just a simple halter, but once you turn around. Bam! It's appropriately called the Wild Child top and it comes in black and also pistachio. It looks super hot on any body from athletic to hourglass and shapes in between. P.S. That's Brittany, and she's a sweetheart.

We had such a blast. A huge thanks to Fred Baby for the wonderful photos, because I was partying way too hard to take pics. Thanks again to Kelly for opening up her home to us. You're such a doll. Too bad Taye and I couldn't stay longer in Palm Springs, even though we would've loved to. But you can't chill when you've got work to do. The summer can't come fast enough. Someone please send me a vacation home complete with a pool, jacuzzi, full service bar, and a really good dj. Is that asking for too much? Naaaaaaa.
