The September Issue

It's finally here. Vogue's biggest issue of the year is hitting newsstands now, and I'm drooling over it. Of course I like it because it's so thick...a whopping 856 pages! I mean, it's like the fashion bible showing you all the hottest trends for the fall and the coolest campaigns. But that's not all. The cover is bringing back something I've missed on glossies for a really long time: MODELS. Don't get me wrong. Celebs are great and all but we need to see more American mags with supermodels on the covers. Ever since the demise of the 80s and 90s supermodels and the rise of actors as the faces of fashion brands, we've seen little to no models gracing the front of magazines like Vogue, Elle, and Glamour. Thank goodness someone is bringing this concept back from the dead.

Vogue is calling them The Instagirls. They may not be the traditional supermodel, but these ladies are working every campaign, every runway, and killing it with their strong social media presence. We all know Joan Smalls, party girl Cara Delivingne, and Karlie Kloss, but the rest of the pack includes Arizona Muse, Edie Campbell, Imaan Hammam, Fei Fei Sun, Vanessa Axente, and Andreea Diaconu. Check out a really adorable video of these ladies below.

It's really cute to see these girls talking and goofing around. You rarely see models being so candid, and it's really refreshing. Besides this wonderful pullout cover, there's plenty more editorials in the September issue featuring these ladies and a romantic tango-like spread with Chanel Iman and A$AP Rocky. This Vogue is everything that I hoped for and more. Grab one for yourself and get inspired.
