Pearl Izumi Women's Infinity Softshell Jacket in Peacock/White
Pearl Izumi has quickly become one of my favorite brands when it comes to cold weather running gear. I always assumed Pearl Izumi only made cycling gear so I never gave the brand a thought. The only cycling I've ever done is a spinning class at my local gym. Until this winter I never needed winter running gear. I've always lived in Texas, except for college and it doesn't really get that cold and when it did I just ran on a treadmill. This year when my husband got orders to Fort Leonard Wood I started running outdoors a lot more because the weather is more pleasent. When Autumn hit I didn't want to stop running outdoors, so I invested in some cold weather gear and that is when I discovered that Pearl Izumi makes some of my favorite running jackets.
The jacket I'm sharing with you today is the Women's Infinity Softshell semi-form fit jacket in Peacock/White/Lime. It's available in five other colors. I love the way the material feels both inside and out. It's extremely soft and comfortable and it's not restrictive, which I love. I like wearing this jacket on cool, windy, damp days. I always use a tank underneath on days when it's in the 40's and 50's but if it's any colder I do layer with a long sleeve base layer. Another plus, is that it covers my bottom! I hate having a cold bum! :)
Another great thing about this jacket is that it has pockets galore. There is a pocket on the sleeve perfect for your keys or a music player (a pass-through hole is built in for the headphone cord). Two pockets are located on the waist, where I usually keep my phone. It also has reflective elements to make you more visible if you run very early in the morning or late in the evening. For reference I am wearing a size Medium because I don't think a small would be able to zip over my, um, chest!
