Blue and White Monday
This is a post on my idea of Coastal Style from last August titled If I Had a Beach House. If you're anything like me, it will all be new to you : )
I'm busy this week with the "back to school" to do list, and will most likely be absent more than I'm present.

"If I Were a Rich Man" from Fiddler on the Roof. The lyrics to "If I Had a Beach House" are below. We're big on Musical Theatre at our house. If you don't know what I'm talking about, please just ignore as you'll think I've lost my mind.

"If I Had A Beach House" (sung to the tune of "If I Were a Rich Man")
If I had a beach house, Yubby dibby dibby dibby dibby dibby dibby dum. All day long I'd sit out in the sun. If I had a beachy house. I wouldn't ever work hard. Ya ha deedle deedle, bubba bubba deedle deedle dum. If I had a darling little home, Idle-diddle-daidle-on the sand.
I'd build a quite chic house with windows by the dozen, Right on the poshest beach around. A fine tile roof with hardwood floors below. There would be one huge room with plenty of seating For all of my friends who'd come to mooch And one deck leading nowhere, just for show.
There'd be no anchors, boats or sea creatures anywhere Although shells would be just fine. I'd add some Chinoiserie here and there. Blue, white, clean and casual Is the fresh vibe I'd be going for As if to say "Here lives a girl with flair."

So, is it just me, or do lyrics appear in your brain, too? What's your beach house style? Anything similar? I'm guessing it's close!
