I have picked my hood. Don't look at me like that, I know you faux-house hunt whenever you get the chance. Why can't I faux-neighborhood hunt? Never hurts to plan where one might end up should one win the green card lottery—that's assuming NYC keeps coming up with snow in April (just no).
So yeah. I've picked my hood. Downtown may be where the cool kids rendez vous to hang out at the Ace Hotel's rooftop hot tub. West Hollywood has the Soho House, healthfood haven Erewhon and Jake Gyllenhaal (spotted at No Name, sporting one sexy beard and a hella smile). But it is in Venice that my Cali-self would shack up.
Maybe I already have. Nine days deep, and still no sight of a return flight..
