Off To The Races

What I'm wearing: Club Monaco dress and belt, Tasha fascinator, Cole Haan sunglasses, Michael Kors watch
Horse racing is a sport that every lady should embrace. Why? Where do I even start?

For starters, a day at the races is like taking a step back in time. Ladies in charming dresses and over-the-top hats, men looking dapper and more handsome than ever. It's like a fashion show at the track! Second, unlike many common women's hobbies (shopping, brunching, cocktailing, spa daying- at least amongst my crew), it can actually MAKE you money. Last, in contrast other male- driven sports, horse racing is fun for everyone. There isn't a laundry list of rules to remember. It's about odds, learning a few tricks when reading your program, or just choosing the horse whose name catches your eye.
Saturday we had to pleasure of joining America's Best Racing for a fun and fashion filled day at the races, the 32nd annual Arlington Million. The Arlington Million is not just about racing, it's serious about fashion. I NEVER turn down an opportunity to dress up in theme, so we dusted off our hats, dresses, suits, and we were off to the races. We ate, drank, bet on ponies, and had a truly fantastic day. Each race, whether win or lose, was so thrilling! If you haven't visited Arlington, you MUST before the racing season concludes.

A HUGE thank you to America's Best Racing and Mike Johnson for inviting us to partake in such a superb event!
