alternative christmas trees

It’s decided. There will be no tree up at our house this year.

It’s not so much getting everything out and put up, it’s putting it away that I don’t feel like dealing with this year. Especially when we’ll be out of town for the actual holiday and barely home over the next two weeks to even enjoy it. So this year, I’m searching for a festive tree that’s fun to put up and comes with a super fast tear down. So here are some fun Christmas tree alternatives to bring some festiveness to your house with a much simpler clean up plan.

top: Lighting up the tree is my favorite part, so this version by A Merry Mishap is a perfect alternative

bottom left: A Legg Up‘s calligraphy chalk tree is amazing. If I had those skills, (and a giant chalkboard wall) I would have a serious forest of Christmas word trees.

right: I love the airiness of this paint stick tree mobile by Confetti Pop for Curbly.

top: Washi tape has made its way into every craft you can think of, so why not have a washi tape Christmas tree?! I love the little ornaments at the bottom of this simple tree by Bettina Holst blog

bottom left: Another monochrome washi tape tree from DecoPeques.com

right: Brittni Melhoff made a fun tissue paper fringe tree for Curbly.

Do you already have your tree up? Planning on doing it this weekend? Whatever I end up doing, I guess it’s on my to-do list for the next couple days before I run out of time!

Happy weekend! and happy, happy Friday.
