Review: Burberry Light Glow Blossom Blush

This is just another short post on another blush by Burberry. I have already elaborated on the packaging before, so I won’t repeat myself. Let’s just say this is something I won’t depot. I love the case, even though it’s heavy an it takes up precious space I bought this blush online from Harrods many moons ago, together with other goodies. I don’t know if I should recommend getting stuff from there because it took them more than a week to pack my stuff but after they sent it out to the courier company, the package arrived in just a few days. Anyhoo…

Today, I will show you Blossom. It is quite a pigmented blush, compared to Peony, and I prefer to use a very soft blush brush that is not as dense to apply this. I tried using the brush included, and it just wasn’t flattering. The colours were not diffused properly, and the colour went on too strong at first swipe. Not my usual way of applying. I like to keep things soft, and slowly build from there. When I use the brush included, it also kicked up more powder compared to when I use my Chikuhodo Z4 or my Lunasol cheek brush. Burberry blushes are a dream to apply, as I have mentioned before. They are easy to blend, and I never have the problem of having the blush disappear on me. It is definitely a splurge, but a splurge worth your while

How would I describe Blossom… I’d say it looks like coral peachy pink? On my arm, it swatches more pink, but on me, it definitely looks warmer. See photo below – it definitely translates pink, doesn’t it?

And here is how it looks on me. More coral than pink! So I’m thinking maybe this blush will pull more pink on those with cooler skin tones, and if you have warmer skin tones like mine, it might look more peachy coral

Today also marks my 8th wedding anniversary, but I’m confined at home, staying with the newborn. I guess we’ll be celebrating at home, with the new addition to the family. Perhaps we’ll make up for it when I’m allowed to go out – then, we’ll have a date night! I am blessed to have a very kind and gentle yet fierce and protective man to call a husband, a childhood sweetheart, someone who loves me through all the thick and thin, smelly farts, burps, snores and all. Now with 2 girls and a little baby boy, our family is complete and I look forward to all the adventures we’ll have together

xoxo Lily
