VTech Careline for Grandparents: Gives the Gift of Peace of Mind (Giveaway)

Many of us struggle with trying to keep tabs on our elderly relatives, and worry that they will not be able to contact help in case of emergency. Many phones on the market today, are difficult for them to maneuver successfully. For one thing, the buttons are smaller than a generation before, and there are more of them. In my family, my parents were quite self sufficient until recently (they actually ran circles around me, with their gardening endeavors). The Careline phone system from VTech, is versatile in meeting the needs of our senior and disabled love ones. The display text is nice and bold too… I’m in my 40’s and already see a big benefit to that. A portable safety pendant that can be worn around the neck or clipped to your waistband, and has speed-dial capabilities is included with the SN6197 unit. It has no monthly monitoring fees, but can get help when needed.

When I first looked at the pictures of this phone system for seniors, I was concerned that the images buttons might be a struggle to set up. I was happy to discover that the speed dial photo buttons have a flip up cover, so seniors can insert a small photo, image symbol or slip of paper with hand written text into each window. The new SN6307 handset pictured here keeps it simple with 4 big dial buttons and just the essentials. It is a system ad-on, and may quickly become your elderly loved one’s go-to phone.
