Don Lisander

Don Lisander nos ha enamorado por completo, y eso que de primeras nunca le hubiésemos dado una oportunidad, todo hay que decirlo… pero ya sabéis: “las apariencias engañan”. Detrás de una fachada sin gracia y un local en las antípodas de las nuevas tendencias se esconde una trattoria italiana maravillosa. Un restaurante que nos hizo viajar por un instante a las orillas del lago de Como con cada sorbo y cada bocado… casi, casi como estar allí, pura felicidad.

Todo está exquisito (juzgad por las fotos) pero sobre todo la inolvidable pizza tartufo, con una masa finísima y crujiente, huevo de codorniz y trufa y un sabor de otro planeta -del mismísimo planeta Italia, tan cerca, tan lejos-. Dejamos para nuestra próxima visita la pasta, que está elaborada por ellos mismos, y muchos otros platos de su carta. Los vinos no son su fuerte pero son aceptables y la cuenta rondará los 25-30€, los euros mejor invertidos en mucho tiempo.

Antes de ir no olvidéis reservar mesa, fuimos un martes a mediodía y estaba a tope. Hay mesas para dos, cuatro y para grupos, y una redonda para seis junto a la ventana que es sin duda nuestra favorita.

Un restaurante sencillo, auténtico y honesto donde se cuida lo importante: lo que se sirve en el plato. Ha entrado directo a nuestra lista de favoritos.

Don Lisander made us fall completely in love, and we must admit we would have never given an opportunity at first sight… but you know, “looks might be deceiving”. Behind a graceless façace and an old-fashioned (still not vintage decoration we found a wonderful and authentic italian trattoria. A restaurant that carried us away to Lago di Como with every bite and every sip… almost like being there, pure happiness.

Everything tastes great, and we loved their pizza tartufo, really thin and crispy, topped with quail eggs and truffle, and tiramisú for dessert. We cannot wait to come back and try every other dish from the menu, including homemade pasta and more than twenty different pizzas. Wines are not remarkable but still fine. The bill won’t hurt: around 25-30€ each but really worth it.

Don’t forget to make a reservation in advance, we came on a Tuesday afternoon and it was really packed. There are tables for two, four and for large groups, but our favorite is the rounded one near the window.

A really nice, humble, honest and authentic restaurant that takes care of all that matters: what is on the plate. Goes directly to our favorites’ list.
