Urban Decay x Pulp Fiction Collection Swatches, Review + EOTD

For this weeks Makeup Wars we’re focusing on the newness of Urban Decay launches. Some posts might be Naked Basics 2, Pulp Fiction or even some other forms of Naked. As is evidenced by this post when Urban Decay released their Pulp Fiction Collection I went a little crazy, purchasing all of it except for one piece (the glitter eye liner). This collection isn’t large, but it’s full of my favorite things – neutral shadows, a red lip, a bordeaux nail and, of course, Mrs. Mia Wallace. Pulp Fiction the movie was released back in 1994 when I was only 14 years old. Whether my parents knew it or not I watched it and immediately became a fan of the movie and also all things Quentin Tarantino. Can you blame me?

The outer packaging is quite obviously black with the yellow lettering and a raised UD at top center. As you open the box you’re greeted by a blaring red marked by “bullet holes” and quotes.

The exterior of the palette touts a quote from Jules Winnfield on the front and “be cool honey bunny” on the back. There is a card included showing you how to get the Mrs. Mia Wallace look, while on the other side it talks about all of the other products available in the collection.

The eyeshadow palette, though neutral, is really the focal point of this collection. The shades are wonderful pigment wise, as is with most Urban Decay shadows. It’s very likely you have some similar shades in your stash but not housed in a limited edition Pulp Fiction inspired palette. With a mini brush. So, yes, you need this. If only because I’m a fan

While the eyeshadow palette may be the focus, your eyes will be drawn to the blood red lips created with the Mrs. Mia Wallace Lipstick and Lip Pencil. The formula is opaque and creamy, the perfect 90′s lip.

To get the eye look below I simply followed the steps on the included card. My lips are also Mrs. Mia Wallace and my cheeks are Urban Decay Naked Flushed in Streak. The mascara is Urban Decay Perversion.

To round out the post I have the Urban Decay Pulp Fiction Nail Polish in Mrs. Mia Wallace (deep red w/ a slight shimmer):

The Urban Decay Pulp Fiction Collection can be purchased at Sephora, Ulta, Macy’s and urbandecay.com. This collection is limited edition.
