Gucci Burnt Cinnamon, Antique Ruby, Siam Red Nail Polish Swatches + Review

We’re getting to a point in time where we’re going to be hard-pressed to find a designer that hasn’t decided to dive into the world of color cosmetics. Gucci is the latest to hit the market at their boutiques and Neiman Marcus, launching an enormous line of products from eye shadow palettes, lipsticks, nail polish… you name it. I bought a little of everything (which wasn’t easy because when I ordered there were virtually NO swatches or reviews online) but today I’m featuring the nail polishes that I picked up.

From looking at the Neiman Marcus website 27 Bold High-Gloss Lacquers seem to be available. I purchased three shades in Burnt Cinnamon 070, Antique Ruby and Siam Red 200.

Burnt Cinnamon. This is a lovely tan rose shade that almost goes mauve-ish when it’s not in the light. There is a very subtle shimmer throughout that looks lightly iridescent because I just can’t place what the colors are exactly. Two coats.

Antique Ruby. This is my holiday baby. I’m not even kidding, I love it so much I may buy it a present. When I first painted it on it was streaky but when it dried down completely and added the top coat the streaks disappeared. With the burnt red very metallic finish I didn’t see that one coming. I’m in love, you guys. Two coats.

Siam Red. This has a beautiful, saturated black cherry base bursting with bright burgundy metallic shimmer. Two coats.

Overall I was impressed with the formula on all three lacquers because they applied smoothly and were all fully opaque in two coats. But can we just single out Antique Red.. a metallic like that with no streaks?! What?! Based off of this purchase I would absolutely buy more! What shade is your fave?

Gucci Bold High-Gloss Lacquer retail for $29.00 each and can be purchased at Neiman Marcus and Gucci.
