Anyone else terrified of the fact that Christmas is already next week? I can't believe it. And it's same time weird and cool to spend Xmas somewhere outside Finland for the first time. I'm staying in Melbourne till the last week of December, so my Xmas will probably be just relaxing and sunbathing.
Anyway, I think this is the perfect time to start my cooperation with PickeDresses.com. It's a quite new site selling different kinds of prom dresses online.
I chose some of my favorite prom dresses from the selection of the store, related to Christmas of course.
I don't usually have any big parties or proms coming before Xmas, which is a bit pity. At Christmas Eve I like to dress better, and my go to-colors are red, gold and dark green. You know, I'm totally not the only one who wears these colors this time of the year. They're the official Xmas colors!
When it's winter time, for me the maxi length is almost the only choice. Exception is if a shorter dress looks nice with thick tights. I've got used to Finnish winter, which is so cold you don't go out without proper clothing.
Still, I chose the first picture of this post to be a short prom dress. Maybe it's this Australian weather that makes me craving that kind of dresses. That would be perfect for a Pre-Chrismas party with friends!

These both maxi length dresses I would wear at Christmas very happily. They look amazing, but still wouldn't make you feel overdressed for a normal Xmas party.
A red gown is a true classic, but still many women don't dare to wear it. Well I know, not everything passes for everyone. But if you would like to wear it but are too afraid of other people's opinion, my advice is just go ahead and wear it! Christmas is a perfect occasion for that, because then red is so appropriate color to wear.
I like that kind of dresses that have some beautiful details like those above. Especially the second one with rhinestones on waist would look stunning on many women, I'm sure.

But the color shouldn't be too big restriction when choosing a Christmas dress. For me at least, more important is the model of the dress. Of course if you're going clubbing at Xmas it doesn't matter if you're wearing a mini dress, but many of the Xmas parties are a bit more conservative. Then it's better go for a longer one, and not to show too much skin.

The most important thing is that you feel good, whatever you're wearing! And because it's Christmas, it may be nice not to choose too tight dress, as Xmas is also an eating party ;)
