Beautisol Exscrub Me? Citrus Face Exfoliant Review

One of my favorite parts of my skincare routine is exfoliating. For some reason, cleansing, spot treating, and the like just don’t do it for me. I like to rub off all of my dead skin cells! I do a lot of chemical exfoliation, so I haven’t had an actual scrub with granules in it for a while. Enter Beautisol Exscrub Me? Citrus Face Exfoliant- which I’ve been using every time I’m in the shower!

Exscrub Me?™ is a gentle, yet effective citrus face exfoliant that is the perfect solution for removing dead skin cells and impurities prior to a face self-tan application.

Beautisol is a company that sells a lot of self tanning products, so this product is great for pre self-tan application or helping to remove a self tan. I don’t self tan, so I can’t say I’m a huge fan of their tanners, but this product is a pretty good one!

I love the scent of this scrub- it’s citrusy with a combination of lemon, grapefruit, tangerine, and orange. I thought it would be heavy on the grapefruit, but it is a nice combination! The scrub contains two different types of beads. Tiny sugar-like granules that do the majority of the exfoliating, and then the red plastic microbeads. I don’t care for these microbeads, because, in my opinion, they don’t do much for exfoliating. Also, states have banned them because they don’t break down and are littering lakes and other bodies of water. I would prefer the scrub without them altogether! But, I think this scrub does work well, leaving my skin super smooth post-shower.
