Messy Loose Curls w/ Cortex Curling Wand (How I Curl Short Hair) | Video
Curling my hair is pretty much my favorite way of styling my hair. But, I’m kind of lazy so I don’t make the time for it often. Although my hair is short, I have a ton of hair and it takes forever to curl. I like a more messy curl, like loose waves. The look is sophisticated and sassy at the same time, and is my event go-to style!

Pantene Heat Protection Spray- Can’t forget to prep your hair with a heat protectant to prevent damage from heat styling!

Batiste A Hint Of Color Dry Shampoo in Dark & Deep Brown- I always get super oily hair, so I apply dry shampoo to prevent oil from ruining my hair by the end of the night! I like this tinted one because it is easier to work with than white variations.

Hot Tools Professional Alligator Clips- My hair is a lot to handle. Separating and sectioning off hair while curling makes the process go a lot smoother!

Cortex 4-in-1 Curling Wand- I love this curling wand! I use the smallest barrel for this because I have hard to curl hair, so I want them to be as tight as possible. Big Sexy Hair Spray & Play Hairspray- I used this because I had a travel size and was traveling, but it’s a bit too strong hold for this look. I prefer to spray each curl, so it made it a bit hard to comb through them once my curls were finished! I’d rather use this as a finishing hair spray.

Jonathan Dry Dirt Texture Hairspray- This is a new product to me, and I do like it as a hairspray. I went a bit hairspray crazy in this video, but this one adds some nice volume that I don’t see with every hairspray I’ve tried!
