Miss Publicity Bloggers on Board Event

Sooooo, I was invited to the Miss Publicity Bloggers on Board event!

Miss Publicity invited a bunch of bloggers onto their bright pink boat: to hang out with each other while Miss P (as Lin calls it) had the opportunity to introduce some new brands to us.

If you want to read an excellent blog post about it I recommend Sophie’s.

If you want me to see me make a mess of things as I usually do, read on ahead.

The bright pink Miss Publicity boat is in Kralingse Plas at the dock of De Tuin, where Suus and me were hanging out.

…We may have ordered wine at 11:50 AM.

(Not to worry, I already know about the 12-step program.

Step 2: HAVE FUN!)

Let’s introduce the team, shall we?

Meet Mary-Josie. Fashion-beauty blogger, graphic designer and soon-to-be MUA (2015), and so ridiculously pretty that I can’t.

I am not sure if she is checking out her glasses for smudges or looking at herself in the reflection. If I were her, it’d definitely be the latter.

Meet Anne. That’s it that’s all I know. Cute blog, though.

Meet Sophie. Sophie gets me. When I was making a picture and told everyone to be charming Sophie asked me i I meant actually charming or my kind of charming. I then proceeded to laugh for a million years, and THEN took the picture.

Meet Marloes. Chances are Marloes thinks I’m an asshole (I am, sorry) because I once asked her if her Twitter handle “@thebeautyass” was really the best idea for a name.

Be that as it may, her blog is growing fast and she is absolutely stunning in person and in video. And let’s be real: If I ever get an assistant their Twitter handle is definitely going to be @selfhelphipsterass.

From left to right! That cute ass hairdo is Meike from Team Confetti (more on that later.) The little head growing out of Aline is Merel who writes for Air Magazine. I didn’t get the chance to talk to her, but I remember cool shoes and cool glasses.

Aline is first and foremost hilarious and an amazing photographer, but she’s ALSO a personal lifestyle blogger (omg she is going to be so horrified I called her that.)

Femke is my homegirl. Funny, sweet and easy to talk to. I once dropped by her and her boyfriend who were in Rotterdam for the day to “have one drink” and ended up third-wheeling the entire evening because I had such a good time with her.

Suusje Q. Ahhhhh, Suusje Q. Faithful commenter and Annemerel fangirl (same). In her blog she talks about the ‘really successful bloggers’ and includes me for some reason. Which is super nice. Girl, I put on our bra one boob at the time like everyone else.

The cute brunette next to Meike is Olga from Team Confetti. I was super curious about this team of bloggers and so I harassed her with questions for a while. They were both really nice and looked super cute. Their report on the Bloggers on Board event is awesome too, go look.

And here is fabulous Annemerel herself! Hadn’t seen her for a long time so it was good to catch up. She plogged about the event, which has pictures of me drinking (naturally.)

No idea who the other one is.

Next to the weirdo I don’t know: Suus.

Suus is one of the first blog-girls I ever met and she is ADORABLE. She lives in Nijmegen so I don’t see her very often, but the night before Bloggers on Board she came over for a slumber party! Hanging out with her is really nice and I was glad she was with us.

Okay, I think that was everyone.

Now. What was I doing on the boat, you might ask?

Why don’t you

Take a

Wild stab in the dark

about my preferred activity on the boat?

While we were being spoiled with booze (courtesy of Miss P) and sunshine (thanks Mother Nature), every once in a while Kirsten would tell us something about a brand or product Miss Publicity represents.

First there was De Rode Loper, where you can order designer items online. Call me when the Celine Bag gets featured there, ok? Although these Jimmy Choos were pretty glorious too (I’d use them for my Fairy Godmother Look next Halloween). And this Valentino Bag.

…Okay I need to stop. And go hide my creditcard.

Second, Byron Bay was introduced to us. This coco-scented sunscreen was founded in Byron Bay, which apparently is a Surf Valhalla in Australia. I wouldn’t know about that, but when I went sailing this weekend I used their oil. It was nice. (Don’t worry, I also brought SPF 30 and SPF50 even! I’m tan but I do protect my skin.)

Westerkaatje, a Rotterdam-based catering service, took care of lunch for us.

As you can tell from my face, the food was terrible. I definitely didn’t have a second serving. Or a third. Or an extra slice of rhubarb pie.

This was my favorite. Chilly was introduced to us. And Chilly is basically shower gel for your lady parts. The hipper version of Lactacyd, if you will.

Because we they are all very professional blahgers we all took turns admiring vagina-friendly bubble bath, with very serious faces and quasi-interested comments.

In the mean time I accidentally put so much of the stuff in my hand I could have cleaned up a whole team of female hockey players.

Finally, Canei is introducing Hugo this summer. Berry, lime and mint. With lots of ice cubes, lime slices and mint this is a lovely summer drink.

And there you have it. Girls on a boat, booze and a bunch of products. It was a lovely, lovely afternoon.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have stuff to do, and some products from the goodie bag to write about. Maybe. If you want me to. Let me know.

OK BYE!
