Happy Hump Day! It's Day 3 of the 31 Day Challenge and today's prompt is "yellow." I tried a new-to-me technique and I love the way it turned out!

I knew when I sat down to create a yellow mani that I had to use my favorite yellow, Elevation Mount Ventoux. I decided to try a "water spotting" technique I've seen on a few other blogs (Nail Polish Wars, Adventures in Acetone and The Mani Cafe are the ones I had personally seen create manis with this technique).
You set up as you would for a water marble, drop a single color in the water (I used 3 drops of color per nail), spray with either rubbing alcohol or hairspray (I used rubbing alcohol) and then dip your nail as you would for a marble. I really love the finished look!

After Mount Ventoux was completely dry I used Zoya Shelby for the first layer of spotting and then Zoya Mira as the last layer of spotting on each nail. I'm excited to try more combos with this technique!
