Time Flies

How it’s already October I couldn’t tell you… I can’t believe how quickly 2013 has gone by. See, I’m already putting us in January! Being in the fashion industry where a product life cycle is almost a year long, it’s really hard to just slow down. I’m in October 2013, shipping orders for product that will be in store for holiday 2013, submitting orders for holiday 2014, and going into market for 2015. Not cool. Sometimes I just have to take a step back and figure out just what day, week, month, and year I’m in. I wanted to take a look back at my September, and I’m going to try to do this every month. I think you should do it too. Take a few moments and check out your instagram feed for the month prior. You’d be surprised just how much really happened.

Received our wedding invitations from Spark Letterpress 6 months early. Oops.
Sent out our save the dates after avoiding the sealing for far too long.
Picked an absolutely gorgeous brunch spot for the Sunday after.

Finally made it to Shake Shack at Citi Field, and braved the line.
Wore my faux leather baseball cap when the weather turned chilly.
Spent time at the beach with my family, despite the breeze.

Celebrated a great friends wedding in Ohio, wearing leather.
Became obsessed with gel manicures in fall tones.
Walked with my family for ovarian cancer, continuing the tradition.

Mourned the loss of thousands from the 9/11 tragedy.
Said goodbye to my best friend before she started a new adventure.
Started my own new adventure with the help of another best friend.
