Rustic Glam Rock Paperweight
I always second-guess myself when it comes to posting such simple craft ideas, but I’m often surprised by how the posts I almost don’t post are some of my most successful ones! I have a big window right above my desk in my craft room office and when it’s open my papers blow everywhere so I wanted to make myself a paperweight. While it’s not exactly the season of having open windows, I thought this could make a fun last-minute gift idea for a co-worker, friend or family member!
I love mixing rustic with an element of glam and it was so easy to do for this paperweight. All you need is a rock and a Gold Sharpie®. I used the back side of my business cards as inspiration for the rock and just drew it on by hand. If drawing by hand isn’t your thing, just grab some stencils from the craft store or make one with your Silhouette machine!
Looking for a rock is also a good reason to get out and talk a walk! Although, in my case, I didn’t have to walk far…I found this rock in our landscaping and it’s flat shape makes it perfect for drawing on.
This would also be a great last-mintue handmade gift idea that kids could make for grandparents or teachers!
