A hand-painted long silk dress with peterpan collar was the first piece that caught my attention when I saw her lookbook. Dori Tomcsanyi is a Budapest based fashion designer who is studying MA Fashion at Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design also own a showroom named The Garden Studio. She has successfully constructed minimalist cut and shape out of its starched and dull boundary into a boisterous and vibrant pieces with her iridescent painting. Dori Tomcsanyis designs were inspired by places and unique people she saw, the comfort of street style and the high level of wearability absolutely her inspiration to indulge her clientele. The way Tomscanyi play with her fascinating color palette; coral, orange, yellow and garment choices was intriguingly smart. The knits were draped beautifully and the silk pieces were auspiciously decorated by her amazing spontaneous hand painting without forgetting the shades and composition. For the shape, the designer knows how to bring the 1970s cullottes back in business by putting oversized pocket and paired with asymmetric silk top that made it more modern to wear. When you envision this collection, then think about one-of-a-kind piece you will have on your closet, as all the hand-painted pieces were exclusively handmade by the designer. When exclusivity and practicality meet fashion, its heaven on earth.
