Halloween Window Clings

My girls love to decorate for Halloween, and their favorite thing to do is put window clings all over. Then they like to play with them so by the time we take them down they pretty much have no stick at all, and we have to throw them out and buy new ones the next year.

This year however I got smart and decided we would just make our own. Not only did we make our own, but we did it for only $2.00, and we have a tone of stuff left to make more! These window clings are simply made out of glue, and I bought my glue in 2packs at the dollar store so each bottle cost me only $0.50. This has to be the funnest and cheapest way to decorate for the holidays.

The girls had a blast making them, I printed out a template for them to use to make it a little easier to draw the shapes. My little one just put glue all over and then I helped her get some shapes (she is only 2). They both were super excited to hang them on the windows and proud that they made them. A little trick to getting them to stick to the window if you have an issue is to slightly wet them before you put them on the window, oh and of course make sure the window is clean first too. One other tip is to make them on plastic. We used sheet protectors (I took them out of unused scrapbooks), but you could use any plastic you have around the house, or even wax paper.

What is your kids favorite Holiday?

Supplies
4 Bottles Glue
Orange Food Color
Yellow Food Color
Black Food Color (or Yellow, Blue, Red, and Green mixed together to make black)
Plastic Sheet Cover
Halloween Printable

Directions
Add your food color to your glue bottles Leave one bottle white for your ghost.
Close up bottles and shake them up.
You will now need to leave your bottles sitting for a day so the color can fully mix with the glue. (to speed up the process you can stir the glue in the bottles to get it all mixed up)
Insert your Halloween Printable into your sheet protector Then let the kids trace the shapes with their glue bottles
Once glue is dry they will peal right off the plastic Now slightly dampen the shapes with a wet paper towel and stick to a clean window
The kids will be so proud of their home made Halloween Window Clings!
