Toy was formed in Brighton 2010 by school friends and former Joe Lean & The Jing Jang Jong band members, singer/guitarist Tom Dougall, guitarist Dominic O’Dair and bassist Maxim “Panda” Barron along with drummer Charlie Salvidge and Spanish keyboard player (and part time A&E nurse) Alejandra Diez. Shortly after, the band moved to London and six months later signed to Heavenly Records.

Their sound is sort of a nice mix of psychedelic rock, krautrock and post-punk, according to the band members they’re heavily influenced of early electronic music.

Since their start, they’re been doing well, last years release of second album “Join the dots” was critically acclaimed and they made into The Fly’s top 50 Alumbs of 2013. Not bad at all!
