My Favourite Products of 2013

Well it's that time of year where these posts are everywhere, but I couldn't start the New Year off without looking back on some of the products I thought were amazing in 2013...

BODY: Deep Sleep Pillow Talk is a fab duo which contains pillow spray and a rollerball scent to help you drift off to a peaceful sleep. Smells amazing and does the job!
Garnier Summer Body was a body lotion I used loads in the Spring/Summer months, it has a light texture and a fresh fruity smell, and left my skin looking golden, when there was no sun to be found!
Nip and Fab Pistachio Sundae was the other body cream I was loving. Deeply moisturising with a gorgeous scent.
Regular readers of the blog will know that I love the Aromatherapy Associates bath and shower oils, they are so concentrated and do exactly what they say. Need to relax? Try Deep Relax, need to wake up and get going? Try Revive. I love these, and you only need a tiny amount in your bath.

FACE: Avene Gentle Milk Cleanser is a mild lotion which removes all traces of dirt and make up without leaving your skin feeling like it's been stripped of moisture. Perfect for dry or sensitive skin.
Bioderma is my go to eye-make up remover, but it also removes all other dirt and make up from the face. Feels like water and does the job perfectly. For me, this is the best micellar solution make up remover around.
Kiehls Midnight Recovery and The Sanctuary Therapist's Secret Facial oil are two things that have saved my dry skin this winter. Used at night underneath your night cream for an extra boost. After using an oil in this way and massaging it in I wake up the next morning with plump refreshed, rejuvenated skin.

HAIR: Olia Hair Colour, I love this because it's ammonia free and the oil content leaves my hair so soft and shiny. A new favourite!
Paul Mitchell Awaphui Moisture Mist this hydrating spray was a lifesaver for my hair on holiday, you can even use it on your face and body for an extra moisture boost.
Elnett, a classic what more can I say? Holds your style in place and brushes out easily.
Batiste dry shampoo gives my fine (sometimes limp) curly hair a volume boost.
John Frieda Luxurious Volume Blow Dry Lotion Root Booster sprayed on damp hair after shampooing gives brilliant volume at the roots. I love this stuff.

MAKE-UP: Nars Laguna Bronzer for a golden glow, and not too much shimmer which I like.
Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer this is creamy and perfect for under the eyes as it doesn't go cakey or too dry.
Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation, as a drugstore brand Bourjois do well with affordable well performing foundations and I love both this formula and the Healthy Mix Serum one.
Stila Convertible Lip and Cheek Colour in Gladiola this bright orange cream colour is buildable so you can have a sheer coverage or a pop of colour on the lips/cheeks. I have these in several colours but this shade was the one I went for most in 2013.

Soap and Glory A Great Kisser Lip Moisture Balms are amazing, my favourites are Chocolate Cherry and Peach, they fade really nicely on the lips, provide a wash of colour and taste great.
MAC Impassioned Lipstick is a fab orange toned pink, and Tom Ford Cherry Lush Lipstick was my choice for a luxe fabulous red lip.
Revlon Super Lustrous Gloss in Kiss Me Coral and Super Natural were my choice lip glosses last year, natural or bright, these are great value and leave your lips fabulously glossy, not sticky or gloopy in any way.

Tweezerman tweezers and Real Techniques Brushes were my tools of the year, these tweezers are simply the best around and my favourite brushes from the Real Techniques collection (I love them all but if I had to whittle it down to the ones I used the most...) then I pick the deluxe crease brush, perfect for definition and blending, and the blush brush. These brushes are so soft and using them to apply your make up gives a polished finish.

NAILS: Last up is nails and I have been loving Essie this past year so thought I would show a selection of the colours I wore the most.
L-R: Sugar Daddy, Hip-anema, Forever Yummy, Sole Mate and Naughty Nautical.

Phew! That's it, lots of favourites there but they all served me well in 2013. Here's to more great beauty finds in 2014.
