An Inspirational Epic Fail

The list that failed.

Today, I searched the internet high and low for inspirational blogs. Although I found a lot of amazing websites about inspirational people, I realized I had worded my search incorrectly. Back to the drawing board, I began searching for blogs that featured topics related to self-love, positive living, the law of attraction and other similar topics.

I found a few…

The Blogs. At first glance, each blog I found looked promising… After scrolling down though, I quickly lost interest because in order for me to get to the core of the content I was searching for, each site wanted my money. Way to get me excited about a topic only to find out that if I wanted to “learn more” I needed to give up my digits… and my credit cards security code. I can read book after book preaching a lot of the same information the blogs offered. What I was looking for though, was more raw. I wanted to hear the humanist side to each topic, before an editor got a hold of the information and had a chance to alter it prior to publication. I take a lot of pride in offering my opinion about similar topics and genuinely wanted another take from writers I admire.

Unfortunately, the best I could find was paying a fortune for some radical self-love letters that would be emailed to me every-so-often.

Somehow though, when preaching about living a positive life and wanting to empower others to be the best version of themselves while living in a selfless manner, it seems contradictory to ask for money “just so they can read a post or two.” Even worse, to expect your readers to pay for a quick blurb sent to their inbox “once in a while” that just happens to be the same quote they read on Pinterest 7 times in the last week.

Any thoughts… Please leave me a comment below! I’d love to hear from you!
