I have been playing with colors and different ways to showcase my photos. I realized after taking photos and adding them to my website that something was lacking. I love taking photographs, but I knew there was more that I could do with them. From collages to quotes, different types of typography, color combinations and more, I had barely skimmed the many ways I could be more creative with design and photography.
I want to learn more about color theory, design, composition and typography. A quick trip around the Internet led me to some great resources which I will share later. I also found a list of books I am interested in taking a peek at the next time I head to the bookstore. In the meantime, I began sketching some ideas (in my new planner of course), with layouts, color schemes and more. I will be sharing them here as I add photos to my site. As far as the picture above…
This is the color palette I used:
Font. The font used in the image is: Goudy Old Style {Regular}
I specifically chose this font because of its balanced design. It’s a Serif typeface that’s not only readable, it’s quite pretty.
Photoshop. It’s the wonderful world of LAYERS! For those of you who don’t use Photoshop, you must try it! Honestly, it was daunting for me at first… and then I realized 2 things:
