So Here’s The Truth
If you aren’t changing and evolving as a person, you aren’t growing.
I AM Not…
“just a technology blog,” or
“just a mom blog,” or
“just a lifestyle blog.”
I AM (two very powerful words I must add) ME.
I AM Shivani Cotter, a writer, blogger, activist, photographer, art lover, and most of all, mother and wife.
I AM proud of all these things.
I AM still Trending Mom, just an EVOLVED version.
The name Trending Mom was created for a few reasons:
- I wanted a name that would be picked up easily on search engines (brand new blogger syndrome).
- I wanted to use terms that were popular (brand new blogger syndrome again).
- I decided on Trending Mom because the focus of my blog was about living according to my own trends and not follow the social trends.
So here is my issue with the name Trending Mom…
- It’s misguiding. (People assume that Trending Mom is about a mom who is into the latest trends, which is far from the truth.)
- It’s kind of annoying (at least I think it is).
- It makes me feel like I need to write about things that I am not interested in, which is exactly what I don’t want to do and… is exactly what I preach nobody should do.
It’s really hard to change the name of my website. I AM scared people won’t know who I am, won’t think they have come to the right website when they see my new banner and might not be interested in “Shivani Cotter,” but… that is who I am. My interests are mine, and I love sharing them with you.
I know that it’s time to make the change once and for all but again, I AM Scared, so I keep reminding myself that…
