Lace Leopard and Olive Green

Hello beauties! Today I am wearing a combination of lace, leopard print and olive green. I’ve had this olive green field jacket from Old Navy, for years now, and for some reason have never really worn it. I think it, like so many other items in my closet, was lost amongst a sea of too many clothes. So I re-discovered it again after doing a closet overhaul and I’m excited, because it pairs so well with many other items in my closet, and I really love how it looks with this ivory lace tee I picked up a few weeks ago from Dorothy Perkins.

Olive green is a great neutral color and I’m already thinking about pairing it with neon yellow, hot pink, white/navy stripes and red this spring and summer. These style jackets are also very versatile in the fact that they can be worn all year long. During the colder months you just trade out your sandals for boots and ankle booties.

Now back to my lace tee, remember a few weeks ago here, I posted about my search for a lace tee? Well this is the ivory one that I purchased from Dorothy Perkins. I have to say as far as fit and quality go, I am completely satisfied. I was a little worried that it might have been a bit too delicate for this mommy of two young boys, but it has held up. Matter of fact I have worn it about three times now, and it has retained its shape in the wash. Also, I always catch my ring on it and it hasn’t ripped. On a whole I am impressed. The only minor complaint I have, is that I thought it was already lined with a cami when I purchased it, but it isn’t and is see through. Luckily I had a cami already that pairs nicely underneath it.

These Jeans I am wearing are Levis that belonged to the hubby. He purchased them from Kohl’s a while back and they were not his regular style and ended up being too tight and cupped his butt…lol So he gave them to me. I took them and diy distressed the knee’s to add some character and love how they turned out. I used sandpaper and the little plastic sanding thing you put the sand paper on and sanded until they were slightly shredded. Put them in the washer and dryer and voila! My shoes are the Lillian calf hair leopard print low wedge sandals from J. Crew and you guys I am obsessed. I have these sandals in four different colors now. I love the 1 and a 1/2″ wedge height, they are super comfortable, can be dressed up or down and look cute with jeans, skirts, shorts, dresses and pants as you will see on the blog this spring and summer. Super versatile!
