What product would you suggest for cracking splitting nails???

If your nails are severely damaged, the best thing you can do for them is to actually not put any type of paint, polish, or varnish on them. Any of those types of products, even ones that are designed to “strengthen”, are going to be cutting off oxygen flow to the nail, essentially drying them out further. The best thing you can do for your nails is drink lots of water and apply hand cream, cuticle cream, and/or oils to your nails often.
