Glossybox August Review

This month I was very impressed by each product I received. You know how normally there’s that one product that you’re just kind of -eh- about? Not for me!

Also, for today (September 16th) only, GlossyBox is having a promotion where anyone who signs up with the code GIVEMEMUD will receive a free GlamGlow YouthMud Mask in their first box, in addition to the regular products for that month! Glossybox.com

1. Uberliss Hydrating Shampoo & Conditioner - 2 fluid oz each

This is my new shampoo. My over processed bleach blonde hair has been through the ringer, and needs some serious hydration and TLC. This duo makes my normally straw-like strands feel soft and healthy! The Uberliss shampoo and conditioner are sulfate-free and contain blueberry, sugarcane, green tea and keratin. The full-sized 12oz bottles cost $26

2. SpaRitual Nail Polish - .5 fluid oz (full size)

I have a few SpaRitual polishes in my sickeningly-huge collection, and I’ve always been impressed by them. They are decently opaque (2 coats is perfect), they dry quickly, they keep their glossy finish longer than most polishes, and they don’t chip too quickly! The color I got is called “Uncharted”, which is a fuchsia with a slight sheen (it looks more red in the photo above). This isn’t a color I’d normally pick out, but I love the way it looks on my nails and I’ve gotten a lot of compliments! It’s a very sophisticated pink. This product costs $12

3. Kryolan for Glossybox Highlighter - .15 oz (full size)

One word - gorgeous. Kryolan is notorious for their professional-grade products, and this cream highlight lives up to that standard. This cream feels lightweight and thin on the skin, so it’s not sticky and won’t move around the rest of your makeup when you apply it. The color I received is called “Cashmere”, and it is a gorgeous pale champagne-pink. This is intended to be used anywhere… cheeks, eyes, lips… and the sheen it gives looks really natural. No large chunks of glitter to make you look like a little kid playing in mommy’s makeup! This highlighter costs $18.95, and is available on the Glossybox website for purchase.

4. Eslor Firming Collagen Day Cream - .34 oz

I’m a skincare junkie, always looking for the latest and greatest. This is a fabulous, rich, anti-aging moisturizer that contains great natural ingredients like ginseng extract and avocado. This instantly plumps and hydrates my skin without feeling too heavy. I also like that this is paraben free! The full size of this is normally 1.7 oz and costs $85

5. Eyeko Skinny Mini Black Liquid Eyeliner - .04 oz

I’ve saved the best for last! You’re welcome. Eyeko is a very popular prestige makeup brand from London, known for their excellent liners and mascaras. This pen is fantastic - it’s a large felt tip with a tapered end that allows you to get a really thin line, a really thick line, and everything in between. It’s very pigmented and stays in place with no smudging, smearing, or flaking. I do believe that you can purchase this mini size in some places, but the full sized pen costs $16

In this box they also included a sneak peek for the next few months, and they showed some products from Benefit, Nails Inc., and Juice Beauty, all brands I love! So excited to see what’s to come.

If you’ve been looking for a great subscription box that doesn’t send you the same products and brands every month, but keeps it new and interesting, Glossybox is a great option! The brands are much more luxury than you normally see, and the variety of products is great. Boxes cost $21/month, but that price goes down if you lock in for a certain amount of time. They also always have codes to get free bonus items or discounts! You can sign up on their website - glossybox.com
