Outnumbered

Once again, I’m a tad behind in posting. No apologies here, just getting caught up I suppose.

Several weeks ago we had one of the best weekends! We started off with our first ultrasound appointment and got to see our baby for the first time! We of course also had to find out what we’re having. We were on the edge of our seats with excitement.

To celebrate our special announcement, we came up with a little photo shoot. These mini shoots are becoming so important to me and I love having these photos to look back on and remember such a special and defining moment in our growing family. I know that photos will forever be a part of how we celebrate.

We had a name picked out for years before we got pregnant, but it just didn’t feel right for this baby. Harvey is my Grandpa’s name and Joel is Sean’s Grandpa’s name. It felt like the absolute perfect fit for our family and for our baby boy. Grandpa Joel isn’t with us anymore, but when we were able to tell my Papa Harvey of our plans, he was moved to tears and so were we. He is such a special man to me and he actually was the one to officiate our wedding. It’s just such a special way to honor someone and we love the name too; classic and perfectly us. I keep imagining the special pictures of Papa Harvey holding our baby Harvey. That one will be in a frame on the wall for life.

We couldn’t be happier to be adding a little man to our family. The idea that we’re even having a baby at all is mind blowing to me still. I can feel him moving around more and more every day and it’s a sweet reminder that we get to meet our son in just over 3 months.
