The nursery. It's a funny thing. The kid won't give a hoot about what this room looks like. It doesn't matter what color the walls are or if all the furniture matches perfectly. And yet (and hopefully I'm not alone here) there is just something about a nursery. You want it to be absolutely perfect when your baby arrives. Especially your first baby.
I wouldn't call it nesting just yet. You should see the rest of our house. It's a disaster. Dog hair everywhere. Dust bunnies floating around like they own the place. The casa is a complete mess.
Oh but I have more important things to do. Like sit in my rocking chair in this little room, dreaming about the day I meet our baby boy. So, that's what I do. I spend way more time than I should just hanging out in this special room. And I spend way more money than I should on silly things that this boy won't give a hoot about. But, I guess that's just the mom in me. Let's just hope baby boy likes bees like his dad does. Otherwise we've got a serious problem.
