"Happy Christmas"

Irresponsible 20-something Jenny arrives in Chicago to live with her older brother Jeff, a young film-maker living a happy existence with his novelist wife Kelly and their two-year-old son. Jenny’s arrival shakes up their quiet domesticity as she and her friend Carson instigate an evolution in Kelly’s life and career. Meanwhile, Jenny strikes up a rocky relationship with the family’s baby sitter-cum-pot dealer.

If you are excited by the work of director of Joe Swanberg (Drinking Buddies), you find Anna Kendrick’s (Pitch Perfect, Drinking Buddies) film antics humorous, you are going through Girls withdrawals from not seeing Lena Dunham on your screen, you find Mark Webber (End of Love, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World) oddly attractive and/or you don’t mind seeing Christmas-themed movies during the middle of the summer then the 2014 Sundance film Happy Christmas may be right for you. Here Swanberg takes a more home-movie approach to telling that the lovable yet irresponsible sister. Enjoy.

Happy Christmas is being released on VOD on June 26th and in theaters July 25th.
