Banana & Spinach Smoothie

I know what you’re thinking, spinach in a smoothie YUCK! but it is honestly delicious, you can’t taste the spinach at all! This smoothie is tasty, and super healthy. Spinach is a superfood because it is iron rich, full of antioxidants not to mention lots of other nutrients like Vitamin K and lutein which is good for protecting your eyes.
The other benefit of popping it in a smoothie is that it’s a good way of sneaking those nutrients into yours or your family’s diet if they’re not a fan of their veggies.

Serves: 1 ProPoints: 2* Prep Time: 2 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe banana
  • handful of spinach
  • 250ml of milk of your choice (I used soy)
  • Method

    • 1. Add all the ingredients into the blender
    • 2. Blend until smooth.
    • 3. Sweeten if necessary with honey or agave nectar

*depends on the milk used
