Wow!

Wow! I don’t know where the time has gone between blog posts. I’m here – – I’m good – – all is well. Just many priorities all taking away from time to sit down and write. But, now I feel like the kids are settling into school and my school volunteer program coordination is up and running and maybe there’ll be some more time.

For now, I do have big news… I got a new job. Crazy, fast change, but it’s great. I wasn’t really looking for anything new, but I was really ready for a change and I was starting to keep my eyes peeled for local job postings. I saw one that looked interesting, threw my resume together on a Tuesday night, got a phone call at 8AM the next day, had a phone interview that day at lunch (Wednesday), an in person interview on Friday and a job offer at the end of that day.

The new job has brought a lot of changes. Most of them are good. The company is a high tech recruiting company and I’m on the administrative team. My educational background is in HR and I feel like this is a great career step. The company is a good size with some just big company type perks that I didn’t have in my old job. Bad thing – it’s farther from home and it’s 5 days a week. But, it’s good for my brain and my life right now and I’m happy. My coworkers are great and even better is that most people are pretty health focus and NO ONE brings junk food to the office – seriously – no donuts in meetings, no junk in the break room. The office building has a fabulous gym (and I do promise to use it at some point). We did have a little birthday party the other day with a small cake, but that’s been it. The atmosphere is very positive and the people are all great. YAY!!!!

With that job change, I’m getting back into the swing of getting in my morning workouts, too. And, I’m working my way back into running more. This past week, I was able to run twice and everything feels good. My foot is really tight, I do think it’s more of a PF type pain and I’m stretching and rolling on a tennis ball. I still haven’t made it back to my chiropractor, but the good news is that the one I’ve used that’s covered by my insurance is actually on my way home now from work, so I gotta get there.

In other news – – I went for a physical the other day. I haven’t had a physical in a few years. Well, there’s actually a lot to the physical, so I think I’ll save that for another post.

Maybe that’s some good motivation for another post. In the meantime, I will share some of the motivation from my doctor’s exam room wall.
