IT HAD TO START SOMEWHERE It has been weeks I am thinking to start talking about decor and interiors here on the blog, because interior design is my hobby and also a small dream in my pocket, just like the dream of having my space here in Milano, a dream that came true since a few weeks. If I chose fashion to be my job, interior design is something I do for fun. I like to go through catalogues and magazines and then sketch some pieces just for myself. I had to start somehwere and - not knowing from where- I chose to start in the most simple way, from the concept of "home". So the first thing we hung on the walls was this canvas on which we chose to print a photo shot this summer from home in Mexico City. That palm tree, the green mountains, that familiar view, that feeling of being cozy at home, because home is where the heart is and to start our life in this new apartment we needed a little bit of that blue sky. E' da settimane che voglio iniziare a parlarvi di decor e interior design qui sul blog, perchè il design degli interni è sempre stato il mio hobby ed è un po' un piccolo sogno nel cassetto, così come il sogno di avere un posto tutto mio, cosa che da qualche settimana si è avverata. Se ho scelto la moda come lavoro, il design degli interni è ciò di cui mi occupo a tempo perso, sfogliando e risfogliando riviste e cataloghi, facendo schizzi, per divertimento. Dovevo cominciare da qualche parte e -non sapendo da dove- ho scelto di iniziare nel modo più semplice possibile, dalle basi, dal concetto di "casa". Così la prima cosa che abbiamo appeso sulle nostre pareti è stata una canvas raffigurante una foto scattata questa estate dalla finestra di casa a Città del Messico. Quella palma, le montagne verdi, quella vista così familiare, quella sensazione di casa, perchè la casa è dovunque sia il nostro cuore e per iniziare una vita in questo nuovo appartamento casa ci voleva un pezzetto anche di quel cielo.
