'gift wrapped' by jane means

Jane Means has a wonderfully creative job as a professional giftwrapper, with an impressive client list that includes Harrods, American Express and even Royalty. You may have already seen her ribbons for sale in Liberty and Fortnum & Mason!

With a background in floristry, Jane now not only sells her ribbons nationwide, but also designs her own range and runs a series of hugely successful UK workshops.

I met the bubbly and vivacious Jane last year in London and was really pleased to receive her book for review this month. Perfectly timed for Christmas, Jane's book is full of inventive and unusual ideas for wrapping and presenting gifts.

Split into 5 chapters, Jane covers subjects from one end of the gift spectrum to the other, such as plants and gardening items for a housewarming, baby showers, kids and even men and women specifically. There are step-by-step instructions for 8 types of bows and tying techniques and 10 variations on labelling. I particularly love the idea of making gift bags and envelopes, so I'll be trying Jane's tips over the next few days!

It's a fabulously detailed and researched book, with easy-to-follow instructions. Congratulations Jane on a brilliant success for your first title!
