so, on to my share for today, the Garden in Bloom is a new stamp set in the new annual catalog and I had a bit of fun with it, combing existing products with new products.
Garden In Bloom can be found on page 119 and you will notice the set has a lot of stamps (20). There is an outline stamp and a solid image stamp for each element, called “two step stamping”. This made these flowers so easy to create, I stamped the outline in Memento Black, then the solid flower in Marina Mist. Same with the leaves, stamp the solid image first, then the outline in black. Couldn’t be easier.
The background is created with the existing Work of Art Stamp Set, I used the large paintbrush stamp to create a checkerboard effect behind my art pieces going back and forth between a NEW ink Color – Tip Top Taupe – and an existing ink color – Marina Mist.
I stamped and cut out the flowers so that I could pop them up on Dimensionals for a little 3-d effect,
The leaves are stamped right on the card front.
I stamped off the Blackberry Bliss ink for the flower centers and the butterfly to make the images a little softer.
For the Mini Treat bag I have also combined old and new….the Mini Treat Bag Framelit set is existing (and on sale this week as part of Weekly Deals – See Below), then I embossed with a NEW BRICK WALL Embossing Folder. I sponged a little Crumb Cake ink on the bag to make the bricks pop a little more.
The Banner is punched with the NEW Banner Triple Punch (it’s like 3 punches in one),
