MMM {weekend} Asos + M&S + Hobbs

Somebody stop me because I can’t stop buying autumn clothes. This week I have bought uniforms, a gorgeous blue coat from M&S (more soon), new ankle boots (again, more soon) and almost splurged on a cashmere knit from Zara – but the sweat appearing on my forehead (due to the weather and the price) stopped me.

Anyway, it’s the weekend! How will you be spending yours? Here are a few things I’ll be up to – plus what else I tried this week.

WEARING…

Wearing the Asos trousers

I’ve found a great pair of black trousers that work for smart or casual wear.

Cropped at the ankle and in a relaxed fit, they’re flattering, comfy and in a really nice expensive-looking crepe fabric. And the best bit? They’ve just been reduced to £21 at Asos.

I’ve also worn them with my trainers / denim shirt and a plain tee / Birkies at the weekend.

TAKING OVER ON SOCIAL MEDIA…

From next Monday I will doing a five-day jewellery takeover on Wallis’ Instagram account. Look out for my daily updates on the pieces I am loving from their jewellery collection, how I’ll be styling it and what else it could work with. On next Friday’s MMM {weekend} I’ll show you my full daily outfit round-up. Don’t forget to follow Wallis on Instagram so you can check it out! Here’s a sneak peek.

A sneak peek of my Wallis Insta-takeover – tune in from Monday!

CHECKING OUT ETSY…

My Little French Shop on Etsy, £54.39

How many of you deserve one of these cute totes? So chic for all that faire du shopping, non?

CUSTOMISING SHOES…

Spotted this on Primark’s Instagram feed this week.

It effectively means taking a pair of their £9 cobalt courts , demolishing one of their £6 necklaces and attaching with nail glue.

Like this:

They’re very like the Manolo Blahnik shoes Olivia Palermo is often spotted wearing (and the shoes she wore to her wedding) – but obviously a *little* bit cheaper.

The how-to is on their website now.

USING MY NEW BLEMISH-FIGHTING LOTIONS..

Murad Rodial = zit-fighting heaven

OK so this is totally MMM Approved. They might be on the expensive side, but these two right here are saving my skin at the moment.

The Murad Blackhead & Pore Clearing Duo does exactly what it says on the bottle – you use the blackhead remover first, leave it on for ten minutes then gently massage to exfoliate before following up with the Pore Refining Sealer. It says it helps reduce the formation of blackheads and I have noticed a massive difference to my skin since starting to use it twice a week.

And Rodial’s Super-food glam balm multi is a really intensive nourishing balm that I am LOVING. It adds instant moisture to your skin, while fighting fine lines so it’s perfect if you’ve just been on holiday and need a bit of TLC. It’s also a great multi-tasker so can even use it on dry hands, lips or even cuticles.

BEING SUPER DUPER ORGANISED (Part 1)…

I’ve just been really organised and ordered all the iron-on labels I’ll need for Charlie’s new school uniform. MASSIVE HIGH FIVES TO ME. Google personalised labels and you are lost in a whole world of ‘oh-my-God-which-one?’ pain. So I took my lead from the ultra stylish Sarah Clark, of the fabulous Little Spree blog. She’d recommended Tiny Me on the blog a while ago, so I bookmarked it and went back this week to order.

There are absolutely tons of cute designs to choose from, but I decided to keep it relatively simple. My thinking is that as I’ve probably bought enough stickers for the next couple of years worth of labelling, while rockets or monkeys might be cute now, he’ll probably hate them by the time he’s 8!

I went for the name labels value pack in a design called ‘Authentic’ and in the ‘College’ colour way.

BEING SUPER DUPER ORGANISED (part 2)…

This little organisational boast comes with a large degree of shame. I had a wardrobe sort-out last weekend and realised that I own FIFTEEN striped tops. In different colours, obvs – but FIFTEEN?!

They now have their own shelf.

Please tell me I am not alone in this #StripeObsession??

My Breton mountain shame

Have a great weekend everyone! x
